Concrete Repairs

Concrete repair involves sealing, resurfacing, or replacing the affected areas to restore their original state. This is done by removing and disposing of any weakened concrete, repairing existing rebar if necessary, cleaning metal surfaces, and adding a new layer of concrete. The new layer of concrete must be applied to replace any curves or angles that made up the original structure while allowing sufficient time for curing to prevent untimely deterioration of the structure.

Concrete Resurfacing

Concrete resurfacing is installing a new layer over an existing concrete area. This can be used as both a decorative and protective coating. A mix of cement, color hardener, and other admixtures is spread onto the existing surface before being cut or stamped to resemble traditional materials such as brick or stone. It provides an aesthetically pleasing exterior and helps to protect the concrete beneath from cracks and erosion caused by usage over time.

Our Services

Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete is a type of decorative concrete that is used to create a more interesting and aesthetically pleasing look for driveways, patios, and walkways. It involves the use of specialized tools, such as stamps and rollers, to create an imprinted pattern or design in wet concrete. This process is often carried out by experienced concrete contractors who have the necessary skills and resources to produce stunning results. The stamps can be made with various patterns, including stone, brick, slate, or even wood grain, allowing for an almost limitless number of designs to choose from.

In addition to the aesthetic appeal of stamped concrete, it also provides many practical benefits compared to traditional poured concrete. Stamped concrete offers greater strength and durability, as well as reduced maintenance requirements due to its sealed surface which helps prevent staining and cracking. It can also be colored using dyes or stains so that it can match any existing design elements around your home or business. With proper installation and maintenance, stamped concrete can last up to 30 years with minimal repair work required over time.

Concrete Patios

A concrete patio is an outdoor living space made of concrete that can be used for entertaining or relaxation. It is typically a flat, level surface created with cement and other materials, such as gravel or sand. When professionally installed by a concrete contractor, the result is an inviting and stylish area to enjoy the outdoors.

The installation process begins with a survey of the land to determine the best location for the patio and to assess any existing structures, drainage patterns, and utilities. The contractor will then mark out the boundaries of the patio and prepare the subgrade material by removing topsoil, grading it as necessary, and adding fill material if needed. Once this is complete, reinforcement can be added before pouring the concrete into layers of approximately four inches each. After all, layers are poured, steel trowels are used to smooth out any imperfections on the surface before it sets permanently.

Once set, any desired color additives can be applied to give the patio a unique look that complements its surroundings. Accenting features like borders or stamped designs can also be added for an even more personalized touch. Finally, sealers are applied which protect against cracking due to temperature changes and make maintenance easy while preserving its aesthetic qualities over time.

Concrete Driveways

Concrete driveways are hard, durable surfaces constructed from concrete that can be used for a variety of purposes. Concrete is made from a mixture of cement, aggregate (such as gravel, crushed stone, or sand), and water. This mixture is then poured into a prepared area and allowed to be set. The curing process helps create a stronger bond between the components of the concrete, making it more resistant to environmental conditions such as extreme temperatures and heavy rainfall. The end result is an attractive, long-lasting surface that's capable of standing up to wear and tear over time.

A professional concrete contractor will have the experience and expertise required to design and construct the perfect driveway for your home or business here in Tucson. They will start by preparing the ground in order to ensure optimal drainage, followed by properly prepping the area before pouring the concrete mix into place. Once this has been done, they will use specialized tools to shape and finish the surface according to your exact specifications.

Finally, they’ll use sealers with special additives designed to protect your driveway from staining, cracking, or fading due to exposure to sunlight or harsh weather conditions. With proper care and maintenance, your driveway could last for years with minimal upkeep required – giving you peace of mind that you’re investing in something built to stand up against anything Mother Nature throws its way!

Concrete Slabs

Concrete slabs are large, thick sections of concrete that are typically used for a variety of purposes. This includes walkways and driveways, patios, pool decks, and other outdoor living areas. Concrete slabs also serve as the foundations for homes, garages, and other types of structures. The production of concrete slabs is a complex process overseen by a skilled concrete contractor. The base material used is Portland cement, which is mixed with sand, gravel, and water to form the slab. This mixture is poured into prepared forms that help determine the shape and size of the finished product.

After the concrete has been placed into the form it needs to be leveled off with a hand trowel or similar tool. Once everything has been properly leveled, contractors will use a metal screed to ensure that the surface is smooth. After this step is complete, curing begins. Curing involves using techniques to increase surface strength such as using burlap or plastic sheets to keep moisture in so that the slab continues to harden over time. With proper care and maintenance from an experienced concrete contractor in Tucson, these slabs can last for many years without any issues despite any weather problems.

Concrete Foundations

Concrete foundations are the structural base of any building or structure, and they provide a level, stable surface to build on and anchor the structure. The process of creating a concrete foundation typically involves excavating the area where it will be laid, using gravel and sand as a base for even support; reinforcing steel bars (also known as “rebar”) to ensure added stability; pouring the concrete mix with water into the form; smoothing it out and troweling it smoothly; and finally allowing it to cure before putting any extra weight on it.

A professional concrete contractor in Tucson such as Tucson Concrete Paving is an ideal choice for installing foundations for many reasons, including their experience with local soil conditions and environmental concerns, knowledge of local building codes, availability of specialized tools and equipment, familiarity with proper techniques for installation and repair, expertise in proper curing methods, access to experienced crews that can quickly complete large jobs safely and properly, and ability to provide quality materials at competitive prices.

Concrete Sidewalks

Concrete sidewalks are walkways or pathways made of a hardened mixture of cement, sand, gravel and water. A concrete contractor can take this blend and form it into a variety of shapes and sizes that can be used to create sidewalks, patios, driveways, curbs and other concrete-based structures. The mixture is poured into forms that have been designed for the job at hand. Once the mixture has been poured in, it is then leveled off with a trowel or similar tool. After it has been allowed to set for an appropriate amount of time, the forms are removed, and the sidewalk is ready for use.

At this point, any necessary finishing touches may be applied such as edging or stamping with patterns to give the walkway more visual appeal. Concrete walkways are incredibly durable and require minimal maintenance compared to other types of paving materials such as asphalt or brick pavers. With proper installation by a professional concrete contractor in Tucson, your sidewalk should last you many years before needing repairs or replacement despite any Tucson weather experiences.

Concrete Walkways

Concrete walkways are paved pathways made from a strong and durable material, typically using a combination of concrete, sand, gravel, and other materials. They are usually used to provide access between areas of a property or to provide safe passage for larger groups of people. Here in Tucson, experienced concrete contractors use their knowledge and skill to create custom-designed walkways that match the look and feel of your home or business.

The process begins with an evaluation of the space available. The contractor will measure the area, taking into account any existing structures which need to be avoided as well as any site conditions such as slopes or drainage issues. Then they will determine the most efficient design to ensure durability while still meeting your aesthetic goals. Once this is decided upon, the contractor can begin laying down the base materials like sand and gravel. This creates a strong foundation for the concrete mixture which is then poured onto the surface in layers. The contractor will work with special tools to shape and level the mixture until it meets their required specifications for finish quality. To prevent cracking over time due to changing weather conditions or shifting ground levels, reinforcing steel bars may be added before finishing touches are done such as adding color or texture patterns to customize your walkway's appearance. Finally, a sealant is applied over top to protect it from water damage and wear over time, ensuring your Tucson concrete walkway provides years of service with minimal maintenance requirements.

Concrete Repair

Concrete repair is a process that helps to restore damaged or worn concrete surfaces back to their intended form. A concrete contractor typically utilizes various techniques, materials, and equipment to repair concrete and ensure that it is restored safely and in a timely manner. This may include patching up small cracks or areas of corrosion, installing reinforcements for larger damage, replacing entire sections of concrete, and more.

Depending on the severity of the job, the contractor may use specialized machines such as vibratory tampers or saws to help prepare the area before applying adhesive products like epoxy resin or cement grout mix. On top of this, they also often utilize methods such as pressure washing to clear away dirt and debris from around the affected area. Additionally, an experienced concrete contractor in Tucson will be able to identify any potential problems before beginning work on the project so that repairs are effective and long-lasting.

Concrete Resurfacing

Concrete resurfacing is a process whereby an existing concrete surface is restored by applying a new layer of concrete. This can be done for decorative and safety reasons. A concrete contractor will use a variety of tools and techniques to ensure that the new layer of concrete bonds with the original surface, creating a durable and attractive finish.

The entire process starts with preparing the existing surface. The contractor will remove any already-existing paint and sealant, as well as chip away at any loose pieces of the top layer of concrete. Once the surface is prepared, it's then thoroughly washed and dried to create a smooth base for resurfacing. Next, the contractor will apply a bonding agent that helps ensure adhesion between the two layers of concrete.

Once this is done, they'll mix up a blend of cement and sand to create a slurry or mortar-like mixture (depending on the desired finish) which is applied directly onto the substrate using either hand trowels or power trowels. The newly applied layer should be around 1/4" thick to allow for proper curing time without cracking or other problems during this stage.

Finally, after allowing sufficient curing time, optional finishes such as stamped patterns or colorants can be added before sealing with an appropriate sealer to protect against water absorption and UV degradation. With professional installation by an experienced concrete contractor in Tucson, you can expect your resurfaced concrete to last for many years before needing repair or replacement again withstanding any weather problems.
